Dr. Bob Sammons is a prominent figure in the field of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. He co-founded TMS Solutions in 2014 with the aim of expanding the availability of TMS for treating depression. Dr. Sammons is highly involved in the Clinical TMS Society (CTMSS), where he has served in various capacities, including the Outreach, Legal, Business and Ethics Committees, and as the Chairman of the Annual Meeting in 2023. He was also elected to the Executive Committee of CTMSS and has been recognized with the society’s first-ever Legacy Award for his contributions to the field.
As a veteran and a psychiatrist, Dr. Sammons has a particular interest in the potential of TMS to treat conditions such as PTSD, especially within the veteran community. His role extends beyond clinical practice as he is also engaged in research and education, serving as an adjunct research professor at Colorado Mesa University to help develop and publish research using TMS technology (Clinical TMS Society) (TMS Solutions) (TMS Solutions).
